Astound Broadband combines RCN, Wave and Grande, and each kept its own network: AS6079 (RCN), AS11404 (Wave) and AS7459 (Grande). In our city data, the FCC map lists Astound at 53.9% of Chicago homes, 44.0% of Boston homes, 42.6% of Seattle homes and 20.1% of New York City homes (December 2025 data).
The server itself sits in a data center: see where ISP proxies are hosted. Check the owner of any IP with an ASN lookup.
An autonomous system (AS) is the network that tells the rest of the internet where an address block lives. Lookups show the AS number and its registered holder.
| AS number | Registered holder | IPv4 addresses announced |
|---|---|---|
| AS6079 | RCN-AS - RCN | 4,831,232 |
| AS11404 | AS-WAVE-1 - Wave Broadband | 2,669,056 |
| AS7459 | GRANDECOM-AS1 - Grande Communications Networks, LLC | 1,237,760 |
RCN is named for ISP products by Webshare ("Comcast, RCN, AT&T, Sprint & more"), one of the ten vendors we checked on October 19, 2026. Naming a provider on a product page is not proof of stock at any given time, ours included.
Astound says it serves more than 4 million homes. In our city data (FCC, December 31, 2025, as Radiate Holdings), it reaches 63.6% of residential units in Washington, D.C., 53.9% in Chicago, 44.0% in Boston, 42.6% in Seattle and 21.4% in Austin.

Prices in USD for 30 days; the per-IP figure is one IP for the whole period. Pay in crypto only (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The top-up is the price of your order, less any balance you already have, and at least $25; anything left stays on your balance. No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents.
Yes. RCN is now part of Astound Broadband, owned by Stonepeak. Its main network still announces AS6079, registered as RCN, so lookups often show the old name.
GFiber and Astound announced in March 2026 that they will combine, with Stonepeak as majority owner. The deal was expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 and had not closed by October 18, 2026.
